What are the pots made of?

Our Willow and Slugg Ranges are made from a strong, waterproof, and lightweight polyresin-fibreglass blend. Polyresin far stronger and durable than concrete, but much lighter in weight. Our Willow & Slugg Ranges are resistant to UV, frost resistant and suitable indoor and outside.

Our Bad Names range is made from wood-fired clay. They are finished entirely by hand, then fired in a traditional wood kiln, giving them their distinctive character.

Are the pots handmade?

Yes! All of our pots are handmade. Our Willow and Slugg Ranges are handmade in moulds and finished entirely my hand. Every pot is individually hand sanded and finished.

​Delivery & Shipping

Where are the pots sent from?

Our warehouse is located in Slovakia. Delivery times are typically between 1 - 3 days depending on your location.

Does the delivery include unpacking, product placement, and rubbish removal?

No, The Balcony Garden nor any third-party courier service is responsible for unpacking, product placement or rubbish removal.

How is my order packaged?

Depending on the size of your order it will arrive in boxes or on a pallet.

​Using Your Pots

How do I 'pot-up' my plants?

It’s super easy.  Simply follow these instructions.

Can they be used indoors and out?

Yes, all of our pots are tested for durability in all weather conditions—rain, hail, sun, and snow—and are perfectly suited for outdoor use. They also look fantastic indoors.

How do I stop water leaking out the base of the pot?

To prevent water from leaking indoors, place a pot tray beneath your plant inside the pot. You can find these trays at your local hardware store or nursery.

Do they have drainage holes?

Yes, each Willow and Slugg pot features two 30mm drainage holes to prevent water build-up. Pots in the Bad Names Range also come with a drainage hole to ensure your plants stay healthy.

Are they waterproof?

Our entire range of pots are not suitable for holding water.

Can I paint my pots?

We strongly advise not to paint your pots. Doing so will void the warranty.
